My SCAD senior project was based on the relationship with my mother. Different emotions are being portrayed, along with the bond between mother and daughter. The ups and downs, the good times and bad times. Two characters, her and myself; and the back and forth of a tumultuous relationship.
With the help of two dancers, I gathered enough footage to later use the technique of rotoscoping. And use After Effects for composing.
Video based on Poem 15 by Pablo Neruda. The poem is about a man admiring meticulously the little things he sees in his loved one. It is almost like he wrote his thoughts just as they came through his head. Her curves and her perfect “imperfections”. In this video, we are seeing what the man is seeing: the woman.
Audio taken from a prelinger archive called “Assignment: Venezuela 1956”. Inspired by my own experience, I depicted a person arriving to a foreign country, and discovering all the wonderful things of this new exotic place. Exploring and gaining knowledge from its culture.
Collaborative promo video for Interface Americas.
A collaboration video made in SCAD Atlanta for the Atlanta Jewish Festival.
Short inspirational commercial for athletes. Stating that pain only lasts for a moment, but glory lasts forever. The script came from one of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s speeches.
